CANUNDA NATIONAL PARK. (VKFF-075)

Owen, VK5HOS and I decided to activate a few parks on Sunday but on getting up on Monday morning I was tempted to give it a miss. However, after talking to Owen, we decided to go ahead and play it by ear.

We were “ON AIR” at the advertised time and although very windy to start with it backed off after a short while and we only had one rain delay of about 15 minutes.

Unfortunately I forget to take pictures and only have one of the plaque about the Cape Banks lighthouse cottages. (The usual brain dead vandals have tried to perforate it with bullet holes and some of the other plaques have been stolen, leaving only the plinth behind)

We managed to work 19 stations from Canunda, (6 before UTC rollover and 13 after)

Many thanks to all who gave us a call. It really makes an activation worth while when you get a decent rollcall of hunters, especially if you can give a hunter a new one.

Many thanks to:_
